Wear the story. Know the source.
ZAMEEN means ground. It is where every design begins: a specific place, a specific craft, and the people who kept it alive long before it reached a jacket.
We research every cultural reference we use and refuse to reduce a culture to a decorative motif. That is why nothing here is labelled simply by country — each piece names its region, its technique and who it is credited to.
Inspired by culture. Created with respect.
How a design is made
Every reference starts with a place, a period and a maker. We read, look closely and note where each form comes from before anything is drawn.
Designs are shown to people who know the source — craftspeople, historians, people from the place — and we listen when the answer is no.
Where a living craft is involved, the aim is to work with its practitioners, not around them, and to say so plainly when we have not.
Motifs are redrawn for embroidery and for the shape of a jacket — without inventing meanings they never carried.
Every product page names its source, location, technique and who the tradition belongs to, with a badge that says how close the design sits to it.
Culture is more than a pattern. It has a place, a history, and a voice.
