01 — India
India is not one aesthetic. It is Lucknow's metal-thread ateliers and Hyderabad's four-minaret gateway, the stepped towers of Tamil temples and the fluted brick of Delhi — traditions that sit hundreds of kilometres and centuries apart.
This chapter does not try to summarise them. It borrows one craft language — the gold-on-dark contrast of zardozi — and uses it to draw a few specific places, each named on the garment's page.

01 — India
Golden Procession
A varsity silhouette carrying the goldwork of Lucknow, temple geometry and the royal procession.
Chest detail

The house Z sits opposite a four-point star. Below it, an elephant head in raised gold thread — the gaja that leads a ceremonial procession.
Sleeve embroidery
Details that travel.
A sun medallion above paired elephants and a lotus, set like the border of a ceremonial textile.
The back
A landmark. A memory. A place.
Hyderabad's Charminar, a Dravidian gopuram, Delhi's Qutb Minar and a carved temple façade, drawn as one horizon on ink-green.
Golden Procession Jacket
One jacket. Many worlds.
